CloudByte, a software-defined storage provider, announced it will be offering a channel partner program today at VMworld. Its channel partner program will target value-added resellers, system integrators, as well as hardware manufacturers and IT solution vendors. CloudByte’s partners will be able to install the company’s ElastiStor software on the hardware of their choice.

CloudByte’s ElastiStor works on Mware vSphere, Citrix XenServer, and Citrix CloudPlatform, and is now integrated with OpenStack block storage Cinder. The company offers a free perpetual license of the full-featured storage software for up to 4 TB of storage.
